AOH Corned Beef Dinner

Saturday, February 10, 2007

Bring your appetite. You'll need it! Corned Beef & cabbage served at St. Ignatius Loyola Hall - 4455 West Broadway. There will be entertainment and prizes.

Doors open at 5:30PM with dinner served at 6:30 PM. Arrive early, have a drink and enjoy the company.

Walk to the Stone

Commemorative March to the Stone Memorial at the foot of Montreal's Victoria Bridge. In conjunction with our sister societies, our day will begin with a commemorative at St. Gabriel's Church in Pointe St. Charles at 11:30 am, hosted by the United Irish Societies followed by a march to the Memorial at 1:30 pm. Ceremonies at the Memorial to begin at 2:15 PM.

All are always Welcome!

A FREE bus service will be provided at the church for those with physical challenges or difficulties.

Annual "Mass in the Park" Celebration

Thursday, July 26th, 2007 7:30 PM

Please come and join us as we celebrate the Feast of Saint Ann at the site of the gone, but never forgotten, Saint Ann's Church located at the Griffintown-St-Ann Park at the foot of Mountain Street.

Previous years saw hundreds of old friends spending time reminiscing until past dark. We hope to see you there this year.

AOH Golf Tournament

This summer (2007) marks the 4th Annual AOH Golf Tournament at the Caughnawaga Golf Club in Khanawake. Please come and join us this year for some great fun, warm company and nice prizes.

Annual Pilgrimage to

Grosse-Ile and the Irish Memorial

Saturday August 25th, 2007

Our trip begins in Montreal, by bus, for the three hour journey to Quebec City where we board a boat to Grosse-Ile. Our day includes a guided tour of the island, a picnic or cafeteria lunch.

There will be a wreath laying ceremony at the Irish Cemetery & Irish Memorial and at the Celtic Cross.

The boat leaves leaves Quebec City for Grosse-Ile at 9:30 A.M., returning at 5:00 P.M. where we will board the bus for the return trip, arriving in Montreal at approximately 8:00 P.M.

2007 marks the 98th Anniversary of the dedication of the Celtic Cross by the Ancient Order of Hibernians on August 15th, 1909.

Way of the Cross

Saturday, November 3, 2007 we walk the Stages of the Cross at the historical Notre Dame des Neiges Cemetery.

The stations have long since gone, so in their stead we've selected 14 Celtic Crosses.
